Now that Instagram has announced their upcoming changes, prioritizing video content...I figured it’s a nice time for me to pop back in with a no-makeup, dirty-mirror selfie. Kickin’ it old school.

I’ve been slow to get on the Reels/TikTok trend. Peppy dancing around for the camera is really, and I mean REALLY not for me. But perhaps something more creative will come out of this shift.

The work of Caroline Myss is SO interesting and feels especially resonant to me lately because it deals in archetypes. It’s like a safer way to explore your own edges, because it’s about your own beliefs and habits, yet not really about just YOU...it’s a reminder that we all face similar emotions and and life themes, but the energy we choose to embody through it is 100% a choice. That energy is what actually creates shifts and results.

On NYE I was looking through pictures from the last decade, and it hit me hard that there were so many moments I’d forgotten about. I’d taken all these photos and stashed them away on my hard drive, and that was the end of it.

I have been so hard on myself, and it became really clear, looking at all these amazing pictures of beautiful moments that I apparently deemed too imperfect or not important enough to share.
•
Fuck that. It’s my life. It’s the process of growing babies and businesses side by side, and I want to document every moment.
•
I want to share more. I want to remember these moments. I want people to know me for who I am, and not just a handful of glossy Instagram posts that paint a really incomplete picture.
•
My “word” for 2020 is devotion, because I’ve decided I’m going all in on myself, on my friends and family, on the things I love. I’m at a point where I can’t deny it any longer. I came to this planet to do cool shit, and it’s time to shine the spotlight on that. ✨
